Mobile Lifestyle Application in Spotlight

Bandar Seri Begawan - Another participant of the APICTA competition in the company category is Iplussoft Technologies which submitted a mobile lifestyle application to enhance people's lives.

"One of the applications that is in the project is the Showtime which basically allows mobile users to access movie information, trailers, seatings, schedules and ratings. All the information will be in a single app. We also work with cinema operators to come up with optimised solutions," King Seh Horng said.

The idea for the mobile lifestyle application compatible for Android users was initiated this year.

King said that future plans are to add more features such as ways to integrate with the current system. "We are also currently working other platforms as well," he said.

When asked what the response was like, he said that the company had received thousands of downloads which showed what the market is like in Brunei.

He said that the development side is pretty much completed and he hoped to move to the marketing side telling the public what the product is about. The latest feature for now is being able to see the latest movie schedules.

King said that the product innovation is on par with other competitors in the APICTA competition. But he said there is still room for improvement with problems encountered such as consumer usability.
